Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions from facility administrators, nursing directors, and compliance teams.

Yes. All vascular access procedures performed by Prestige Mobile Vascular Access are conducted by a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri. A copy of current RN licensure is available upon request and can be submitted to your facility's credentialing department as part of the partnership onboarding process.
Yes. A current W-9 for Prestige Mobile Vascular Access LLC is available upon request. We understand that most healthcare facilities require a W-9 before engaging with any independent contractor or vendor — we're happy to provide this as part of the initial onboarding documentation package.
Absolutely. We carry active professional liability (malpractice) insurance and general liability coverage. A Certificate of Insurance can be provided to your facility's risk management or compliance department. We can also name your facility as an additional insured on the COI if required by your credentialing process.
Prestige Mobile Vascular Access operates in full compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations. All patient health information (PHI) encountered during procedures is handled with strict confidentiality. We are prepared to execute a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your facility as required under the HIPAA Privacy Rule for Business Associates. Please request the BAA during your initial inquiry.
We work with each facility's medical staff or credentialing office to meet their specific requirements. We maintain all standard documentation — RN licensure, professional liability insurance, immunization records, and other credentialing materials — and are prepared to submit a complete credentialing packet at the start of each new facility partnership.
Procedures are coordinated directly with your facility's nursing or charge staff. A valid physician order for the PICC or midline placement is required before any procedure is performed. Once an order is in place, scheduling can be arranged by phone or email. We strive to provide same-day or next-day confirmation on all placement requests, with scheduling flexibility to accommodate urgent needs.
We always bring our own portable ultrasound system for guidance — no facility equipment is required for that. For catheter kits, dressings, and securement devices, we are flexible: we can use your facility's existing supplies at no additional charge, or we can supply our own. This is discussed during the initial partnership setup to best align with your facility's protocols and preferences.
After each procedure, a comprehensive nursing procedure note is completed and provided to your facility's nursing team. This includes catheter type and size, insertion site and vein used, catheter length inserted and external length, patient response, and any relevant clinical observations. Documentation is provided in a format compatible with your medical records system.
Radiological confirmation of PICC tip placement is coordinated per your facility's standard protocol. Typically, this involves a post-insertion chest X-ray interpreted by the treating physician or radiologist. We work within your existing radiology and confirmation workflows and do not use the line until appropriate tip placement has been confirmed per your facility's policy.
We offer two flexible pricing structures: a monthly retainer (fixed monthly rate for consistent, priority access — best for high-volume facilities) and a per-patient/per-procedure fee (pay only for procedures performed — best for variable-volume facilities). All rates are customized based on your facility's specific needs and volume. Contact us for a no-obligation rate proposal.
No — there are absolutely no additional charges for facility-provided supplies. If your facility chooses to provide the catheter kit, dressings, and other procedure materials, that is fully accommodated within the agreed service rate. Our goal is maximum flexibility with no financial surprises for your facility.
Yes, we establish a formal services agreement with each facility partner before beginning service. This agreement outlines the scope of services, pricing structure, scheduling protocols, compliance obligations, and terms of engagement. You can review our standard services agreement template on our website, and a customized agreement is provided during the partnership onboarding process.
Once your facility submits an inquiry and we discuss your needs, we aim to have credentialing documentation submitted and a service agreement in place within a matter of days — not weeks. We understand that your patients' access needs don't wait, and we work to make the onboarding process as fast and smooth as possible.
